What is Stiolto Respimat?

Stiolto Respimat (Tiotropium/Olodaterol) is a prescription mist inhaler that helps control and prevent symptoms of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. This medication belongs to a class of drugs called Respiratory Inhalant Combos (Bronchodilator Combos), as it is a combination of Tiotropium Bromide and Olodaterol. Tiotropium Bromide belongs to a class of drugs called Anticholinergics, which works by relaxing the airways and protecting them from spasms (bronchospasm) that will cause them to be narrower and more difficult to breathe. Olodaterol belongs to a class of drugs called Long-acting Inhaled Beta-agonists (LABAs), which work by smoothing the muscles lining the airways to allow breathing much easier.
