How to Use Dovonex Gel?
Follow your doctor’s prescription exactly.
Apply a thin layer of Dovonex Gel to the affected area(s) once or twice daily. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying, unless your hands are in the treated area. Avoid showering or bathing right after applying Dovonex Gel. Do not apply the gel to broken, infected, or irritated skin unless instructed by your doctor. Do not use Dovonex Gel on your face, mouth, or genitals unless your doctor directs you. Avoid using airtight dressings (bandages) with Dovonex Gel unless your doctor advises. Do not use Dovonex Gel more often or for longer than prescribed. Avoid using the gel on large skin areas, especially for long periods.
Who Should Not Use Dovobet Gel?
Avoid using Dovobet Gel if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or the container. It should not be used if you have high calcium levels in your body. Do not apply it to skin infections caused by viruses (e.g., cold sores, chickenpox), fungi (e.g., athlete’s foot, ringworm), bacteria, parasites (e.g., scabies), tuberculosis, or syphilis.

Safety Precautions for Dovobet Gel
Before using Dovobet Gel, tell your healthcare provider if you are allergic to calcipotriol, clobetasol, or any ingredients in Dovobet Gel. Inform your healthcare provider if you have liver or kidney disease, a weakened immune system (which increases infection risk), psoriasis vulgaris (plaque psoriasis), or a skin infection (as Dovobet may worsen infections). Dovobet is not for all types of psoriasis.
Possible side effects include burning, stinging, itching, or irritation at the application site (usually mild and temporary), skin thinning or softening, increased risk of infection, acne, stretch marks, changes in skin color, signs of skin infection (worsening redness, swelling, or pus), and signs of adrenal gland suppression (weakness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite).
Consult your healthcare provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The medication may harm a developing baby, and it is unclear if it passes into breast milk. Dovobet does not increase sun sensitivity, but you should limit unnecessary sun exposure and use sunscreen. Avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

Store Dovobet Gel at room temperature between 15°C and 30°C. Do not refrigerate the gel. Keep the medication out of the reach and sight of children and pets. Use the gel within 6 months of opening and before the expiry date.
