Description

Synalar is used to treat inflammation and itching associated with skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema, seborrhea and allergic reactions.

Synalar should be stored at room temperature away from heat and moisture.

Consult with your physician before using Synalar and tell them if you have any medical conditions, allergies, or if you are taking any other medications. Tell your doctor if you have diabetes, as topical steroid medicines absorbed through the skin may increase the glucose levels in your blood. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Avoid contact with your eyes. If contact does occur, rinse immediately with soap and water.

Do not use Synalar on broken or infected skin or on open wounds. Contact your physician if your condition does not improve, gets worse or if you develop signs of a skin infection. Do not use bandages or dressings on the affected area unless instructed to do so by your physician. Do not use Synalar on a child unless directed by your doctor, as children are more likely to absorb large amounts of topical steroid through the skin. If you are treating the diaper area of a baby, refrain from using plastic pants or tight fitting diapers. Synalar contains refined peanut oil, so do not use this medication if you have a peanut allergy. Topical steroid medicine can be absorbed through the skin, which may cause steroid side effects throughout the body, so do not use the medication in larger amounts or for longer than recommended.

Patient Family Information  : Synalar should be used as directed by your physician. Follow the directions on the medication label for exact instructions. Apply 5 drops of Synalar Solution into the ear canal and keep your head tilted for one minute so that the drops can run into the ear. Repeat the process twice daily. You should see improvement within 7. If the medication does need seem effective or your condition worsens after 7 days, contact your physician. If a dose of Synalar is missed, use it as soon as possible. If you do not remember until it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take 2 doses at one time to make up for the missed dose.
