Description

Polytrim is a prescription medicine that is used in the treatment of eye infections. Polytrim is an antibiotic that works by fighting the bacteria that have caused infection within the body.

Polytrim eye drops should be stored at room temperature, in an area that is protected from heat, light and moisture. When not in use, ensure that the container holding Polytrim eye drops remains tightly closed.

If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before you begin using this medication.

If you wear contact lenses, remove them before administering Polytrim eye drops and wait at least fifteen minutes before putting them back in.

Patient Family Information  : Polytrim eye drops are prescription required, and should be taken in the exact fashion that is outlined in your prescription. If your prescription is unclear, contact your healthcare provider for more information. Ensure that you wash your hands before and after applying eye drops. When applying eye drops, follow the directions in your prescription. Do not let the tip of the eyedropper come into contact with anything, including the surface of your eye, as this may cause contamination. Do not use Polytrim eye drops if the liquid has particles in it, or if it has recently changed colors.

If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medication, do not take Polytrim. This medication should additionally not be used while wearing contact lenses.

Sever Side Effects : Severe Side Effects: swelling or redness of your eyelids; eye redness, pain, irritation or sensitivity to light; or drainage, crusting, or oozing of your eyes or eyelids.

Common Side Effects: mild burning, stinging, or itching in your eye; mild swelling, itching, or redness of your eyelids; blurred vision; watery eyes; or mild skin rash around your eyes.
