Pletal is a prescription medication that is used to treat circulation problems, where too little blood flows into your leg muscles, which is also called intermittent claudication.
Store Pletal tablets at room temperature in a cool dry place, protect from heat and light. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children and pets.
Before using this medicine, tell your health care provider if any of the following apple to you: you are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding; you are taking or planning to take any prescription or nonprescription medicines; you have any other medical conditions; you have high blood pressure; or if you are using any antibiotics or antifungal medicines, such as erythromycin, clarithromycin, azithromycin, ketoconazole, itraconazole, or if you are using diltiazem, fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, nefazodone, sertraline, or omeprazole.
Do not consume any grapefruit products while taking Pletal.
Patient Family Information : Pletal should be taken exactly as prescribed for you by your doctor. When taking Pletal, follw the direction in your prescription. Pletal tablets are generally taken with a full glass of water at the same time twice a day. The effects of this medication may take up to twelve weeks to fully improve symptoms of intermittent claudication.
Do not take Pletal if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or those of similar medications, or if you have experienced heart failure.
Sever Side Effects : Most severe side effects include: Fast or pounding heartbeats, feeling short of breath and swelling in your hands or feet
Most common side effects include: Headache, diarrhea or other changes in your bowel movements, feeling dizzy
