Uses and Benefits of Tirosint
Tirosint is indicated for adults and children 6 years and older to treat conditions caused by low thyroid hormone levels. It replaces or supplements levothyroxine in people whose thyroid does not produce enough of this hormone. It is also used with surgery and radioiodine therapy to manage thyroid-dependent well-differentiated thyroid cancer.
It is not suitable for children under 6 years old or those who cannot swallow an intact capsule. It should not be used for temporary thyroid hormone deficiencies caused by thyroiditis.

The active ingredient in Tirosint is levothyroxine sodium. Inactive ingredients include gelatin, glycerin, and water.
How to Take Tirosint?
Follow your doctor’s prescription exactly.
Take Tirosint once daily, 30 minutes to 1 hour before breakfast, on an empty stomach. Swallow the capsule whole. Do not cut, crush, or chew it. If you cannot swallow the capsule, tell your doctor.
