Uses and Benefits of Pulmicort Inhaler (budesonide)

Pulmicort Inhaler (budesonide) is indicated for maintenance treatment of asthma. It is also used as preventive therapy in children 12 months to 8 years of age. It is not used for quick relief during sudden asthma attacks.

Ingredients in Pulmicort Inhaler (budesonide)

How to Use Pulmicort Inhaler (budesonide)?

Follow your doctor’s prescription exactly.

Use the Inhaler only with a jet nebulizer connected to an air compressor that provides proper airflow. Use a mouthpiece or a suitable face mask for delivery. Do not use ultrasonic nebulizers, as they are not effective for this medicine. Do not mix Pulmicort with other nebulizer medicines unless your doctor tells you to. Always use it separately in the nebulizer. The safety of using other nebulizers or compressors has not been confirmed.

Do not use the Inhaler to treat sudden or severe asthma attacks. It is not meant for emergencies. Do not use it if you are allergic to budesonide. Avoid it if you are sensitive to any of its ingredients.
