Buy Protectaid Contraceptive Sponges (Polyurethane foam w/ F-5 Gel - non Rx) Online From Medications Canada.
This medication is a form of contraceptive used to prevent pregnancy. The Protectaid Sponge is inserted into the vagina before sexual intercourse or any genital contact begins. The Protectaid Sponge works by damaging and/or killing sperm in the vagina after it has been inserted or applied. As a result, sperm would not have been able to travel from the vagina to the uterus and fallopian tubes to fertilize an egg.
This medication should be stored at room temperature. Keep the medication away from heat and moisture.
Before using this medicine, tell your health care providers about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding; if you recently gave birth or had an abortion; if you have a history of toxic shock syndrome; allergies, irritations, or infections of the genitals; conditions or medical problems where it is important that pregnancy does not occur; sores on the gentials (sex organs); or irritation of the vagina.
All spermicide contains the ingredient nonoxynol-9. When Protectaid Sponge is used frequently, it can irritate the vagina and anus which can increase the risk of contracting a sexually transmitted infection, including HIV. Women using Protectaid Sponge will have an increased risk of getting Toxic Shock Syndrome.
Patient Family Information : Read the directions on the label. Apply or insert the Protectaid Sponge properly in the vagina. The Protectaid Sponge can stay in your vagina up to 6 hours before you have intercourse. Once the Protectaid Sponge is in your vagina, within a 12 hour period you can have sex as many times as you want without changing the sponge. After intercourse, vaginal douching is not advised or needed 6 to 8 hours after intercourse because it will stop the spermicide from working properly. Also, do not wash or rinse the vaginal or rectal area because it may wash the spermicde away before it can start working properly. When the Protectaid Sponge has been taken out of the vagina, dispose the sponge.
Do not use the Protectaid Sponge if you have your period. If you have an allergic reaction to nonoxynol 9, do not use the Protectaid Sponge without first talking to your doctor.
