About Nevanac (nepafenac)
Uses and Benefits of Nevanac (nepafenac)
Nevanac (nepafenac) is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with cataract surgery.
Ingredients in Nevanac (nepafenac)
Nevanac contains nepafenac 0.1% as the active ingredient. The inactive ingredients in the suspension include benzalkonium chloride 0.005% (preservative), carbomer 974P, edetate disodium, mannitol, sodium chloride, tyloxapol, sodium hydroxide, and/or hydrochloric acid to adjust pH, and purified water, USP.
How to Use Nevanac (nepafenac)?
Follow your doctor’s prescription exactly.
Apply one drop of the Suspension 0.1% to the affected eye three times daily. Start this one day before cataract surgery and continue through the first two weeks after the surgery. Shake the container well before each dose.
If you are using other topical eye medications, wait at least 5 minutes between applying each one. It can be used with other eye medications such as beta-blockers, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, alpha-agonists, cycloplegics, and mydriatics.
Who Should Not Use Nevanac (nepafenac)?

The Suspension may increase bleeding time, especially in patients with bleeding disorders or those on blood-thinning medications. Use it cautiously in patients having eye surgery or with corneal issues, as prolonged use can cause corneal damage and affect vision.
