  • Use backup contraception (e.g., condoms) for the first 7 days.

Taking Marvelon Each Month

  • Do not skip pills, even if you feel nauseous or have unexpected bleeding.
  • If switching from another contraceptive, follow your doctor’s instructions to maintain protection.

Missed Dose Instructions

  • Missed 1 pill: Take it as soon as you remember. Take the next pill at the usual time (you may take 2 pills in 1 day).

  • Take 2 pills on the day you remember and 2 pills the next day.
  • Take 1 pill daily until the pack is empty.
  • Use backup contraception for 7 days.
  • Missed 2 pills in a row (third week):
  • Sunday Start: Take 1 pill daily until Sunday, then start a new pack.
  • Day 1 Start: Discard the pack and start a new one the same day.
