For children, put one or two drops of the Cyclogyl solution (0.5%, 1%, or 2%) in the eye. If necessary, repeat with a second application of 0.5% or 1% after 5 to 10 minutes. For small infants, use a single instillation of one drop of 0.5%.  

To minimize absorption, apply pressure over the nasolacrimal sac for 2 to 3 minutes, and observe the infant closely for at least 30 minutes. If your irides are heavily pigmented, you may need a higher strength solution.
