At Medications Canada, we take
your privacy seriously. Any and all information that you
provide will be held in the strictest confidence in accordance
with the pharmacy laws of Canada. This information will
not be shared, sold, or traded to any outside entity. Your
privacy is assured in dealing with us.
This policy covers information
collected by medicationscanada.com and all associated web
sites and services. Explanation of services and product price
quotes are accessed via the medicationscanada.com web site
operated by Medications Canada Inc. ("MC").
Customer Information: The customer registration process
requires the registrant to provide information that is
securely stored in our own private databases. This Information
is collected in the customer registration area of the web site
and is used to gather demographic, payment and medical
information as well as consent and waiver information. This
data is used internally to process customer orders and deliver
products.
Customer lists are not sold or distributed to third parties.
MC does not use customer lists to send solicitations (except
for renewal notices or notification of new and/or improved
services).
Credit Card Transactions: Credit
card transactions are processed by a secure and reliable
professional payment authorization service. Only the purchase
price and the credit card information provided by the customer
is supplied to the payment authorization service. Information
collected during transactions is maintained in their database
for accounting and billing purposes. Information from these
transactions is not released to third parties.
Web Site Log Files: Web site log
files are generated that collect the visitor's IP address,
date, time, and pages visited. Aggregate reports for web site
visitors are generated that do not contain personally
identifiable information.
Advertising reports are generated that show the IP addresses
of visitors who clicked on ads. This information may be sent
to the advertiser to confirm the number of "click-throughs."
The advertiser normally already has this information as a
result of the user clicking on the advertisement. No
additional information about the visitor is supplied to the
advertiser. The log files are eventually deleted.
Cookies: Medicationscanada.com
uses cookies that keep track of items for generating price
quotes. They are used so a user can shop and maintain a list
of items in their "shopping cart" and have a total due
calculated. A user does not have to supply any personal
information to generate a price quote. Price quotes can also
be printed and sent to MC by mail or fax without entering any
information. These cookies are not used for any other purpose.
No Third Party Downloads: No
Images, files, or cookies are downloaded from third party
servers. This means no banner network's hidden "web bugs"
(images of size 1x1 pixel used to track users) are present.
External Linking: The logging of clicks for external links
using "redirects" is only done for advertisements. This is
indicated by link to a URL such as '/redirect.asp?url= ...'
The external URL is clearly marked in the "url=" portion. This
is done to create the advertising reports described above in
order to bill the advertiser.
Mailing Lists: MC may maintain
subscription mailing lists. All users must confirm their
subscriptions via return e-mail.
User Registration: MC sites do not require user registration
to access content.
Favicon.ico requests: Some
browsers initiate a favicon.ico request to a web site when a
user adds a site to their "Favorites" list (.ico stands for
"icon"). It is a small 16x16 pixel icon that replaces the
standard icon used for a web page. Favicon.ico requests are
not tracked.
Disclosure of Your Information:
If MC is involved in a merger or other reorganization, MC may
disclose your personal information to the resulting
organization. Also, MC must cooperate fully should a situation
arise where MC is required by law or a legal authority to
release your personal information. MC takes reasonable
precautions to avoid the unauthorized disclosure of your
personal information. Nevertheless, due to the nature of the
Internet, security and privacy risks cannot be eliminated
therefore MC cannot guarantee that your personal information
will not be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this
Policy. You may request access to your personal information
and information about MC's collection, use and disclosure of
that information by contacting MC at info@mecdn.com.
Subject to certain legal exceptions, you will be given
reasonable access to your personal information, and you will
be entitled to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the
information and to have it amended as appropriate.
Other Matters: This Site may
contain links to other websites which collect information
about you voluntarily. MC has no responsibility or liability
for or control over those other websites. If you stop using
the Site or your permission to use the Site is terminated by
MC, MC may continue to use and disclose your personal
information in accordance with this Policy as amended from
time to time. MC may change this Policy from time to time in
MC's sole discretion and without any prior notice or liability
to you or any other person. New versions of this Policy will
be posted here and you should check for Policy updates. If you
